Support » Fixing WordPress » How do you save form data and display?

  • Does anyone know of a plugin which enables users to enter, store and retrieve information? I’d like each user to enter some custom data which:

    1) is stored in a database (and associated with that user)
    e.g. Your dog’s age = 6

    (user entered 6)

    2) can be edited by the user

    Your dog’s age = 7

(user edited value from 6 to 7)

    2) can be displayed

    Your dog’s age is 7

(Displayed on a private page only the user can access)

    3) is used in a calculation and the result displayed:

You dog age in man years is 70

    (Calculation: Man years = (dog years x 7) = (10 x 7) = 70

Most form plugins I have found don’t save the data, and those that interface with “contact form db” only have data stored and can’t be displayed or associated with a registered user.

I have found this for calculations (, but it does not save to a database.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

  • Thanks WPyogi – looks like it does everything except the calculations part. Anyone know of something like this that also does calculations?

Am I trying to stretch WP too far here and should this just be custom coded using PHP and MySQL, or is another option to add some custom code to do the calculations piece?

Think you should go for some premium thing … say like “gravity forms” , where it will calculate and store form details . Not sure about any open source.:(

Gravity unfortunately doesn’t let me create calculations and display the output

hi, I’m very much a newbie to this but I asked the same question as I am about to use calculated fields form plugin too. It does store to a database in the pro plugin I was advised it is stored in the “wp_cp_calculated_fields_form_posts” table
I’ll be trying the same shortly but have found that field in my database. hope that helps.
