• Is it possible to move all unattached images into the media library?

Apparently even if I have uploaded an image and it’s in a slideshow, it still gets categorized as unattached.

I want to move everything into the media library so I can have more than one slideshow using the same photos (different combos) w/o having to upload the photos again. (When picking photos to put in a new slideshow, it only lets you pick from the media library or upload new files, doesn’t let you pick from the unattached folder.)

Any insight would be great! If there’s another way to make slideshows w/o re-uploading the pics, I would love to try that too. Thanks.

By default, WordPress displays images that are attached to posts, as well as images that are categorized as unattached, in the media library. It’s strange that your media library only show the attached images.

Perhaps there’s a plugin on your website that alters the list of images shown by the media library. You could test if this is the case by temporarily disabling your other plugins.

It’s a design choice that images aren’t attached to a slideshow after being uploaded to one.
