I am reaching out to inquire about the measurement of ad impressions and to gather more information regarding the AdRotate WordPress plugin.

We are planning to switch from the free version to Pro version. But we have few questions:

    1. How do you measure ad impressions within the AdRotate plugin?
    2. How does it difference from PageViews?
    3. Do you utilize specific metrics or tracking mechanisms to accurately track and report ad impressions?
    4. Are there any limitations or recommended specifications for ad creatives? Any differences between free and pro versions?

I would greatly appreciate any additional information, documentation, or resources you can provide to help me better understand the capabilities and suitability of the AdRotate WordPress plugin for my website’s ad management needs.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.

Impressions are counted as ads are loaded. If the useragent is on your blacklist or is missing the impression (and click) is ignored.

Pageviews are pageviews. Not ad views.

See above, but keep in mind that your server (and most hosting) is not a massive datacenter with millions of inputs on what’s what. Nor does it have the power to figure that out. If you want that kind of filtering and accuracy you can track your stats in Matomo or Google Analytics through AdRotate Pro.

No and No. Both plugins set no limits on ads or ad types.

    Thanks for your answers.

We have noticed that impressions only counts once users login. How about the users not yet login?

That sounds like a caching issue – Since commonly pages aren’t cached for certain logged in user roles.

AdRotate has support for Borlabs Cache and W3 Total Cache.
Check out this manual to see how to set up the plugins for that to work; https://ajdg.solutions/support/adrotate-manuals/caching-support/

Personally I prefer Borlabs cache (https://borlabs.io) as it’s much easier to set up.

Thanks for your advice. We successfully installed W3 Total Cache.

If I don’t login, AdRotate is able to count only clicks but it doesn’t count the impressions.

Only after login, AdRotate is able to count impression, but it doesn’t count the clicks.

    Please advise thanks.

Sounds like the cache is not working then, since logged in users ‘skip’ the cache and thus get full function.

Did you enable W3TCs fragmented caching?
