Support » Fixing WordPress » How do you make a post sticky

  • Hey all,

This is probably a stupid question, so sorry in advance…

I’m being really think and I cannot for the life of me work out how to make a post sticky. I just cannot find the tick box for it. Most threads I’ve found say that it is next to the visibility options in the Publish widget when you create/edit a post, but I do not have the option there.

Any help here would be appriciated.

    Thanks.

No – it’s in the Visibility menu. Have you tried clicking on the Visibility link?

I have indeed – the only options available are the radio buttons for the post_status. It’s not in the quick edit options either, which again I’ve read on several threads that it should be. I guess WP doesn’t like me 🙁

Ok, so I’ve just found a thread that says that WP can’t handle sticky posts through custom post types.

Ah – didn’t realise you were using CPTs.

Yeah, didn’t think it would make a difference, but I guess as they didn’t exist when sticky posts were created that there must be incompatibilities. Shame, hope that is somehting that is sorted out.

    Thanks.
