• I’ve read the creative commons guide as well as other internet copyright guides, but now I am more confused than ever. If you wanted to use a photo taken from a magazine website like FHM, is simply enough to place a note at the end of your blog post crediting the photo’s original source? What about crediting another blog for a photo and later finding that the photo was not their original work? Is this a common problem that bloggers should legally worry about? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I just want to blog the right way and not infringe on anyone’s work ( or get sued).

  • Hi there, copyright is an enormous problem, but now easily overcome.
PicApp makes thousands of photos available to bloggers and website owners, its free and legal, you only need to register to get your account, they produce the code to copy to your page.

No its not, you can never assume that a website owns the copyright.I don’t know about US law, but here in the UK the original photographer holds full copyright. The good thing about the above link for images, is that you are left in no doubt as to who owns the copyright, all photos are marked.
