How Do You Edit “Pages” In An External Program

  • I was wondering how I could edit my pages in an external program like notepad or dreamweaver.

I don’t like the Visual/HTML editor included with WordPress and I was hoping to edit these pages externally.

  • Just disable the visual editor in your profile…then you essentially have the same editing environment that you have in notepad.

Hi there, you could also take a look at windows live writer, if you want to edit offline.

You can also use Dreamweaver. I use it for most of my Pages. Take the code you want from DW and paste it into the HTML editor. This is for Pages, not posts but it probably work for posts also.

The basic look of a Page comes from your style sheet so your Pages can all have the same look/feel.

So just a copy and paste will work fine?
    Thanks.
