    1) How do I change a field from “required” to “not required” (or from “not required” to “required”)?
    2) How do I set a new custom field or attribute to “required”?

This is an EXTREMELY fundamental option, thus there MUST be a simple way to implement this, but I can’t find any information on this anywhere in docs or in support forum. What am I missing here??

  • Which fields are you talking about?
There are many options for fields in EM.

If you mean the booking form fields, those are EXTREMELY easily required or un-required in the Forms Editor section of EM Pro. That goes for default /standard fields as well as custom booking form fields.

The only field that is always required is email, as that is required by WordPress.

Thank you for your response. I am not referring to booking form fields. I am referring to any other fields/attributes that one might want to control with respect to “required status”.

For example, any of the fields on the submit events page. You will note that default required fields include location name, address, city/town, and country. Thus as specific examples, how would one (a) change the address to not required, (b) change the state and categories fields to required, and (c) specify an added/new custom field/attribute as required?

just to confirm, did you mean using custom event attribute?
