Unfortunately, I know exactly where it is set, Settings > General. I’ve tried it out by changing my own “E-mail Address” to another of my personal email addresses and when I registered a new user to test, I received my admin email at the specified address. So the problem is that I don’t know why yours isn’t working likewise. I once had another user with the same problem, but it seems to be a pretty rare thing.
brendan, have you had any success altering your administrator email? I was thinking to prove out Register Plus Redux, you could deactivate the plugin and register a user. I believe the email will still go the same, wrong, email address.
