    Hi. Yes, before you say it..I install WordPress a lot for a lot of different people so I know how to actually change the settings once it’s installed. What I’m looking to do is alter my copy of wordpress (here on my hard-drive), so that when I upload it, the “default” settings are actually MY default settings.
    E.G. Options>Reading> Show at most: 1 posts (instead of 10)….
    etc.
    Since I do set up all the blogs the same way, this would save me a lot of time.
    All pointers would be much appreciated.

    upgrade-schema.php u can set the default value if im not mistaken

    Have you tried the wp_options table in the WordPress MySQL database?

    Or to keep it separate, you could always run your own php script after installing, just like how you run upgrade.php
