How do you guys back-up WP? Is it enough to simply copy the wp-content folder or does WP save on your database?

    Thanks

You need to backup your database yourself. See Backing_Up_Your_Database

    thanks for all replies.

Unfortunately it seems I dont have access to phpmyadmin which i find odd…..is there any other way?

Otto suggested valutpress but that is $15 a month, not unreasonable but is there not a free easy way to do this if I dont have admin access?

It is odd. What database management tools do your hosts provide? Have you asked them about the feasibility of making database backups under these circumstances?
