How do we display slider and background only on the Front page (no comments)

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to not have any comment box displayed on the front/landng page. Basically I would like the “Nothing Found” and “ready to publish your first post, …” not showing up, only having the slider and moving image on the background, please see http://predatorfishingnetherlands.com/.

I was reading a bit around and it was said to:

1) Create a blank page called ‘Front’
2) Create a blog page called ‘Blog’
3) Configure both static pages accordingly.

When I do that, I still have the page ‘Front’ displayed as a white square displaying ‘Front’. I “simply” want to only have a slider + background image on the landing page because it is nice and flashy.

Would anyone be able to help me out on that?
