How do people read blogs?

  • Peter

    @walking-beaver

    Was just thinking for a while, what do people really read on blogs? Do they read everything or look only at the pictures? Look at the pictures and if they are good read the text? Is there someone who already analyzed that? Do they click on the pictures or do they prefer to have an gallery?

    Any idea?

  • Depends on the subject at hand, really.

    Hello,

    If you already have a blog you should set up Google Analytics and then you can track what your visitors do on your site.

    It will help you get a better understanding of what on your site is useful and what is not getting hits.

    Generally speaking, pictures add depth to articles. I don’t post anything without pics and even add pics for my guest authors since most of them don’t include pics in their submissions. Very few people click on pics since they’re not there for that. I simply like to enhance the user experience. Again, some of that depends on your niche.

    Hello,

    The reason I use Google Analytics is because it is free and is a great tool for viewing what the visitors on your site do. You can track traffic sources and what content is being viewed.

    Other options I guess would be
