  • Anyone?

What do you mean by importing the taxonomies?

    Hi greatdanemaniac,

sorry I should have explained myself a little better! And gone back to the issue im having essentially I’ve got a mysql table of locations from a previous project with 2 fields; suburb and state and I would like to be able to import these into a custom hierarchical taxonomy called ‘location’ I just created.

Is there a tool, or some sort of script/ example of doing something similar I could refer too?

Hmmm… I don’t know that much about mysql, so I can’t help you there. If it is a WP install you’ve made your taxonomies in, you can export them, and them import the file into your current WP install.

Perhaps it’s better if a moderator can help you. I wish you good luck!

Been looking for the same thing. I know Drupal has such a plugin ( module, http://drupal.org/project/taxonomy_xml ) but I don’t think there’s one for WP yet.

There’s a few other plugins we need too, like one to move cat terms and tag terms to our new custom tax.

I think we’re still too dazzled by taxonomies to make them all 😉
