• I need to set up a cron job, but my hosting provider says I must do it via a plugin.

I am using WP All Import to add content from a feed to the site, and they offer access to scripts via a trigger and processing URL. I am trying to use WP Crontrol to set up the cron events, but I have no idea what I am doing. There is no obvious place to add the URLs for the scripts. It requires me to set up an event with a hook name and arguments, then create an action in functions.php. All greek to me. I have scoured the web for examples with no luck. Any ideas? I don’t know PHP and changing anything in functions.php without a specific example terrifies me.

How do you write a cron event for WP Crontrol that processes a script from a URL? What do I put in the WP Crontrol panel, and what do I put in functions.php?

Thanks in advance for any help.
