• I am sorry if this is a Newbie question, but I hope you can help me find a way to do what I want.

I am using WordPress as a CMS for a website with three types of
Elements. I am not sure if using pages and subpages or a combination of pages and posts would work best for my site. What would you suggest?

    1. Events which each have their own page. (I call these parent pages)
    2. Experiences – where people talk about the experience of the event. (perthaps these can be subpages or posts)
    3. Procedures – details the procedures associated with each event . (perhaps these can be subpages or posts)

If I were to use posts for Experiences and Procedures, then I would have Experience and Procedure categories.

I would like to set up my event pages as follows.
    Paragraph introducing the events,

list of all the associated experiences (with title and teaser text – using either more tags in the text or the excerpt feature of posts) these link to the full text.

list of all the associated procedures (with title and teaser text – using either more tags in the text or the excerpt feature of posts). these link to the full text.

Can you please tell me if there is a way (either through coding or, even better, a plugin) for automatically linking posts with specific pages (so they don’t come up on the home page)? If I did that it would be ideal to be able to sort the posts by category. Alternatively, is there a way of putting the teaser text from a sub page onto the parent page?

    Thanks for your help.
