How do I use Intuitive custom post order

    I am using WordPress 4.2.2

    What I did:
    . From WordPress dashboard > Plugins > New
    . Uploaded intuitive custom post order
    . Activated

    . Settings > Intuitive CPO >
    . Selected sortable post types: Posts
    . Sortable taxonomies: Categories
    . Updated

    . I looked at my posts page. It did not change.

    What do I do next?

    From the description of the plugin JavaScript seems central.
    Where do I find the JavaScript
    Where do I drag JavaScript from
    Where do I drop JavaScript
    Do I have to open a new page and use some short-code to see the reordered posts?
    I am a WordPress beginner

    I want to group my posts by month and within the month order by category
    Is this plugin suitable for this?

    The shortcode [archives] grups by month but orders by date, not month
