  • How do I use forums and blogs to get support? I have no idea. My WordPress website does not have any posts but I’m sure there are lots of things WP can do that I might be able to use if I could only find out how to get support.

Well, it starts by asking a question. Please start a new topic as questions come up, and be sure to look at all the good materials out there on getting started with WordPress. What is it you want to accomplish?

@astroham46, please stop starting the same topic over and over and reply to my reply HERE.

You assume that I know how to ask a question. I can’t find the question I asked you without a link. I just don’t know what I am doing. Your documentation starts out over my head and assumes knowledge I don’t have. I just opened another topic with a longer description of my issues but I don’t know how to get back to it to read replies.

I’m not sure if you’re just trolling us or genuinely confused. I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt but have put your account on “modwatch”, just in case. Moderators will review your posts before they go public.

You have yet to ask a WordPress support question. How do forums work? You ask a question and (hopefully) get an answer.

So, if you have a real question, please ask it.

What is a forum? How do forums work? How do I find the questions I have asked in order to read replies?
When you say “ask a question” do you mean “start a topic?”.
How do I find out ahead of time about changes to WordPress editor that just hosed my ability to change my website?

    It’s not that hard.

If you have an existing WordPress installation and you’ve a question, use this link.

    https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/#new-post

Make sure you have a good topic title that describes your problem concisely.

This topic is going around in circles. You’ve not defined a question except for vaguely asking.

How do I use forums to get help? No experience with blogs.

Which isn’t really helpful to people who want to help you. Be concise and ask for help with your tangible problem.

When you do, please start a new topic. I’m close to closing this one as it’s not helping you or others.

Another good way to learn and find like-minded people is to join a local WordPress meetup. You’ll meet other WordPress practitioners fellow users, developers, consultants in your area. All meetups are scheduled via meetup.com and are very welcoming to new users, who need help getting started. They organizers are all volunteers with a shared interest.
