 * Delete all of the files, then delete the database.

 * Or if you are lazy, stop paying the host 😉
 * … Actually may not work. I just checked a site I had four years ago when I switched
ISPs and it is still up – boy did I look young!

 * I am a novist at publishing a web site. Would you please tell me where I can
find the files and database that I need to delete? Thank you.

 * We can’t tell you where it is. Did you install WP? If you have ftp access or
CPanel you will have to look where you, or someone else, installed it. I have
some installations in the root directory and some in subdirectories – it is user
   dependent.

 * There are instructions for accessing the database depending upon your version
of server control panel at [WordPress Backups](http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups).
Find the information related to your server control panel and follow the instructions
to access PHPMyAdmin. Use the password and user name you used to setup WordPress,
and then go into PHPMyAdmin and find the WordPress database. Delete it.
 * Realize that all the posts you have entered will also be deleted. If you would
like to export them, there are instructions on the [WordPress Backups](http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups)
article for backing up your database, which will also save your posts.
 * When that is done, access your site with an [FTP Clients](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients)
and find the WordPress folder you may have installed WordPress to. Delete that.
If WordPress was installed in the root directory, find all the files appropriate
to WordPress and delete those and all the related folders. They are pretty obvious.
 * Then it will be gone.
 * You will then need to find another way to display content on your website.
