How do i uninstall a plugin that does not appear after installing

    Hello everyone i’m trying to install the akismet plugin but it didn’t appear in my screen. I read some posts saying I should uninstall then install back but problem is, it didn’t even appear in the installed plugin page. Please help, I’m still new to WordPress. Here’s a copy of the failed description though:

    Installing Plugin: Akismet 2.5.9
    Downloading install package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/akismet.2.5.9.zip…
    Unpacking the package…
    Installing the plugin…
    Destination folder already exists. /home3/riaz90/public_html/wp-content/plugins/akismet/
    Plugin install failed.
