How do I stop WP from auto-changing code!?

  • hi

I’m trying to create a page with a few textareas and things.

However I insert this code using the HTML editor:

    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://www.agelupdates.com/mywidget/agelupdates_widgetp3.js”></script>

… and WP automcatically changes it to this (which I don’t want):

    <script type=”text/javascript” xsrc=”http://www.agelupdates.com/mywidget/agelupdates_widgetp3.js” mce_src=”http://www.agelupdates.com/mywidget/agelupdates_widgetp3.js”></script>

    Damn it’s annoying!

Is there a way to stop WP from changing the code automatically?

I’m using the beast blog theme.

    cheers
    nathan

  • It’s not actually WP that messes with your code, it’s TinyMCE, which is the WYSIWYG Editor.

Turn it off, it’ll go better.
