Hey @nscouncil!
Welcome to GiveWP! I’m happy to clarify here.
Before clicking on the link in the popup modal on your site, copy and paste the URL there (if you’ve already closed that modal, you can also find the correct URL on the stripe settings page at Donations > Settings > Payment Gateways > Stripe > General Settings)
The URL should end with ?give-listener=stripe
Copy that whole thing, then in the Stripe dashboard, go to Developers > Webhooks and then add an endpoint. Paste in the whoel URL that you copied from your site.
Instead of choosing which events to send using that dropdown, there’s a link that shows “All events” that you can use. Stripe may warn you at that point that you’re sending too much, but in our experience, this only affects sites processing thousands of transactions per day.
One other potential “gotcha” is that if you are running test donations (we definitely recommend testing with fake money to make sure everything looks good) then you’ll also need to add the same webhook endpoint to the “test data” side of Stripe. There’s a toggle in the bottom left of the stripe dashboard that you can use to switch into the test side of things.
Our documentation here has screenshots of the entire process, and should be clear. Let me know if you still need help. We’re more than happy to give more pointers!
Your success with online donations is our number one priority.
