how do i set chmod777?

  • Installing an image upload plugin requires me to do this step: “Give write-permission to everyone (chmod 777).” I have no idea how to set this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • click on the file and fill in the squares in the change permission menu on that file until they are what you need. i think that may be all of the squares filled in for all permissions.

You can do this through either your ftp client or your host file manager.

Ahhh, now I see it. My host has a cpanel. I clicked on the file manager, then saw the box you were referring to, and set the numbers to 777. Thanks for the help.
