How do I set a word count on a submission form?

    I’ve seen a lot of help about how to set word limits on posts. But what I need is to set a word limit on the message of a submission form since I don’t want people sending me messages that are over 1000 words.

    Is it a form like a contact form or a post comment form?

    If it is a form like a contact form, what is the form plugin that you use?

    Hi,

    So it’s the wordpress contact form yes. And it’s just the widget that comes with wordpress.

    There is no contact form that default comes with WordPress. So it might be a widget from the theme that you use. May I know what theme do you use? Or, please let us know your website URL.

    And I’m just trying to set a word count limit on the message that they can send me through the contact form.

    I don’t know if this helps, but it’s called ‘contact form’ and it’s under the category “Grow” in my widgets.

    Hi madi10,

    I know that you are just trying to set a word count limit. I’m trying to figure out what form you use and see if there is a word count limit feature or customize it.

    I checked the Hemingway theme, and there is no contact form feature included on this theme. So it comes from another plugin.

    Hi @madi10,

    I suggest you should use WPForm for this situation. It is one of the best WordPress form plugins and you can limit the specific characters for your forms.
