    Hi,

I am new to WordPress and was working on a website with
content from another website – Eventica is the theme dominating.
I however see two Eventica themes both saying parent but both inactive.

The developer who worked previously on the website …he is down with
COVID so details are missing. The framework dominating the website was Eventica
so I assumed that Eventica was the parent. He could be using a common dashboard?
The other website has no sign of ‘my sites’ etc.

I took a back up yesterday and activated Twenty Seventeen as my theme. I am not happy
with the results and would like to revert back to Eventica.

What is the best way to do this?

I would prefer to make Eventica my parent theme and twenty seventeen my child theme.

Appreciate if you can throw light on

    1. what the developer might have done?
    2. how best to revert back to Eventica parent without losing the work the developer has put in?

    Thanks.

Twentyseventeen is not a child theme of any other theme. From appearance->themes choose the theme that the developer set and everything should be back as it was.

Hi Steven, thank you. It has been a steep learning curve. 🙂
