How do I remove the sidebar

  • You actually have two sidebars. If you want to get rid of them permanently, just remove the <get sidebar> functionS from all php files. You might want to consider looking for an option in which different sections have different sidebars if you decide to make the entire website with WP otherwise there will be no sidebar anywhere.

I only want to keep them on my main page – I want them gone on the rest of the site.

I’m going to try to recreate http://www.rickonline.us – using wordpress to see what it looks like.

So I’m going to take off the side bar on the pages with photos, and videos. Is this possable.

    Well of course.

I have no such thing, but just thinking ‘out loud’. If you make your photo page a “page” instead of a post, you can remove the <get sidebar> from the page.php. In this case -though- you also have no sidebar on your about, movie section if they are pages, but at least the part with posts (which uses index.php or single.php or archive.php) won’t be effected.

If you want something more fancy, read the first thread of the link that I gave you and try some serious ‘PHP’ing’.

[edit] Right! As always the “Codex” is your friend.
