Ok I have figured out how to get the nav menu out of the wrapper/main/content area and have set the width to 100% so that the nav bar sizes itself based on the browser.

Now the only thing left is to figure out how to get the home, about, contact to start right above at the left side of the main/wrapper box.

I have targetted the rule that affects the placement of the menu
    #access .menu-header,
    div.menu

Now how do I get it to go where I want it so that no matter the screen size it is always in the same place that I want it?
