How do i prevent users from using plugins in the editor?, for example i have Elementor and foo gallery installed, all permissions are correct for the user BUT the user, who is allowed to create, edit and publish posts can also access the above plugins via the wordpress editor, essentially the only permissions the user needs are:

    Create Own Posts
    Edit Own Posts
    Publish Own Posts
    Delete Own Posts
Add Own Media (no access to any other media)
    Delete Own Media
    Edit Own Media.

Like I said i dont want to allow access via the editor to foo gallery or Elementor (unless i can limit these to create, edit and delete OWN only) please see the link below for image.

Please take a look here at the image

  • Plugin Author Caseproof

    Hi @hypadj33

The Members plugin doesn’t have a section for each plugin. Plugin authors can add admin areas using any capability they want, including custom capabilities. If you know which capabilities are required to access Elementor or Foo Gallery plugin’s admin area, you can assign those capabilities to a user/role.
Also, many plugins create admin settings pages using a native capability associated with administrators, such as manage_options. I guess in case of Elementor or Foo Gallery they can just add some basic capability like edit_posts but you would need to contact their support to see if you can use any capabilities.
