How do I password protect a page

  • How would I password protect a page, so that everytime someone tried to access it, they would have to supply a password??

When adding a new page, there is an option for password, which seemed to work for first access, but after that…it never asks for the password again, even if re-entering the website anew??

    Any ideas?

    thanks!

  • What happens if you clear your browser cache or cookies?

Yep, that is the key…. clearing my cache and cookies will allow a reask for the password next time in. So, is there a way to not create a cookie update when accessing this password page?? Or to reset things after accessing??

Perhaps I can code my page (its a simple text page at the moment) so that some php command can reset the cookie ?? but what would the command be??
