[resolved] How do I make "/trackback/" appear in trackback url? (5 posts)

    I am running wordpress 2.02, widgets enabled. My trackback links do not show the proper address, but insted list a URL without the /trackback/ requisite ending.

    I have spent literally days tying to fix this and I keep reading that this is a bug with wordpress 2.0. Is that true? Is it something that will be fixed by wordpress or is there a fix I can make to have them work properly?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Look in your theme, probably in single.php. Somewhere here is where the trackback url gets spit out. It should have a bit of code in there that looks like this:

    This is what outputs the trackback URL. Verify that is it there in your theme, somewhere.

    Verified. Here is the code:

    <?php trackback_url(true); ?>

  4. What is the URL that they show instead then? You'll only have the /trackback/ ending if you have non-default permalinks on. Otherwise it'll look like http://example.com/wp-trackback.php?p=ID_NUMBER_OF_THE_POST
