Support » Fixing WordPress » How do I make my site go "live"

  • I went through the installation, wrote a page and a post- but when I go to view my site, it says it is under construction. I’ve hit publish and the post says it was published already…

When i try to change the theme background etc it tells me my session expired and to log in. I log in and less than 5 seconds later it asks me to log in again in a never ending loop. Don’t know if this is related or not…

  • Most likely situation is that there is an index.htm/.html file in your root directory that contains the “Under Construction” message, and needs to be deleted. If that is not the case, and/or you aren’t sure what to do, please respond with the URL of your site, so we can look around and try and figure out what is going wrong.

FTP into your site (or whatever file management application your host provides) & delete the index.html file in your domain’s root folder.

where do i find the domain root folder?

You may need to ask your hosts assistance with this as the name of the root folder varies from host to host.
