Isn’t that a “get shortlink”? If you look while editing at the top you should see get short link. I hope that is what your referring to.
i mean the site after the short link
not the short link 🙁
hope u get what i say
I think you need to add the slashes, changing from
/%category%-Episode-%postname%
to
/%category%/-Episode-/%postname%/
the numbers still appears 🙁
I’ve tested on my WordPress test site, it worked for me. I used this URL instead:
/%category%-episode-%postname%/
make sure to add “/” slash at the beginning and at the end.
Are you entering duplicated post title? Meaning trying to enter a same title that already exists… because if yes, WordPress will automatically add the numbers at the end of URL for you.
my site like TV series sites
it have alot of category & I made post name is no. of episode
so For Example :
category A Episode 1
category B Episode 1
So when i saw the site above it have categories like me & but in his episodes {links} there is no 1,2,3,… that wp added
that’s why i was ask if any one know what makes his links doesn’t hv that
& thanks alot WpThemes777.com For your help 😀
Do you have any posts or pages with the same titles in the trash? Delete them permanently.
nothing in trash 🙁
>>
isn’t there away to add a random character/numbers like
{607fdc84c022f29c1925} in the Permalinks
<<
If the title is the same as another post or page WordPress will automatically add a number after it. You can edit the slug of a post manually on the edit/publish post screen. Why not use tags for the episode numbers?
Last Q 😀
Is there away to create custom Permalink structure ?
P.S. not the orginal one in this link
http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks
but something like
%Example%
where >Example< is A Custom Field :d
