  • If you’re using Firefox, go to Tools–>Add-ons–>Extensions and get CoLT 2.47 installed in the browser.

Once CoLT is installed, right-click on the title you want to link to and on the pop-up menu select Copy Link Location. The URL will be in copy/paste memory.

Go to where you want to add the link, select the word or text for the link, then click on “link” in the editing tools. In the pop-up box that opens, select “http://” and hit the Backspace key, to delete it. Now, put the cursor where that “http://” you just deleted was, right-click and select Paste. Close the pop-up.

Voila! The URL you want for the link will be installed in the selected text. If you’re new to doing this, it sounds more complicated than it is. CoLT is a terrific addition to Firefox, and once you’ve used it a few times you’ll be able to copy and set up a link in a second, without even thinking about it.

CoLT also allows copying links in several ways, including as plain text, which can be handy for reference purposes.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you for replying, I did install ColT and it does work great for linking pages but it still didn’t solve my problem. I have a page titled Home Business Catalog. On that page I am advertising several products and at the top of the page I want to show the title of the product and when clicked on goes to where I have the product information which would be on the same page.
