• Hi,

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I’ve just installed the plug-in, browsed a few pages, and ran the page through GTMetrix.

However, I can’t see any difference to page file sizes, load times etc.

How, and when can I tell when the plugin is working?

    Hi,

Oh, it seems I accidentally removed the section in the readme.txt that describes how to verify that it works, when I rewrote parts of the readme. Good thing that I got to know. The section is still in the readme.md. The instructions are here:

I have now added instructions in the readme.txt, so it is available again on the plugin page (https://wordpress.org/plugins/webp-express/#installation). Thanks for (indirectly) informing me!

OK, thanks for this. I’ve gone through the read me.

I did the test and it reported”:

“Quality: 70. Consider setting quality to “auto” instead. It is generally a better idea
    Trying:ewww
Success. Reduced file size with 88% (went from 96 kb to 12 kb)
Successfully converted test image in 686 ms
    ok”

But it also showed the image underneath. Does that mean it’s not working?

It sounds like it is working. When clicking the “test” button on an individual conversion method in a webp-enabled browser, the image will be displayed, as well as the report.
If you provide the URL of your website, I can check out for sure, if it works or not

    Hi,

Thanks for this. I don’t really want to post my url here – do you have an email or contact form I can send you the details?

    Thanks

    Sure: rosell@bitwise-it.dk

Whoops. It seems that the email I gave you is out of order! Sorry! Email me at it@rosell.dk instead
