Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Cart PDF » How do I know it works? No link, no backend?

  • Resolved The Doctor

I can’t seem to find any settings besides the logo in customize.
I can’t seem to find a link or anything to see if the cartpdf works.
Are there no backend settings whatsoever?

Is there a shortcode or does the plugin not work with my site and/or theme?

EDIT: Is it because I have a merged cart and checkout-page perhaps? Is there a workaround, like a shortcode i mentioned earlier?

For me, the link “Download Cart as PDF” automatically appeared in the cart page next to the Checkout button when I activated the plugin. Maybe it doesn’t work for you because your theme have own theme files for Woocommerce? Or as you said, that the cart page and checkout page is the same.

Unfortunately in my case the link to download cart as pdf doesn’t work. When clicked I get to an error page stating “The site is experiencing technical difficulties”. I have put up another thread about that but haven’t got any response either.

    Thanks for your response.
Hopefully we’ll get an answer soon. I guess I’ll experiment with the plugin myself or maybe ask on stackoverflow…

Could it be that your issue is a conflict with another plugin?

    Yes, hopefully.

I don’t think it’s a conflict with another plugin. The site only have five “standard” plugins. But I will try to deactivate them and try again. Thank you for the advice.

I think it’s a problem with either a module that’s not installed on the server or some other sort of server settings problem. If I find a solution I will leave an update.

    I got help via stackoverflow!
Here’s the link to the solution that worked for me:

@streamalex maybe try your luck over there?

Great that you got the help you needed! I will certainly try stackoverflow too. Thank you!

@panicky Hi and apologies for the delay in response. As it was mentioned in the SO link, the button is generated by hooking into the woocommerce_proceed_to_checkout hook which appears in the cart. If your theme overrides the WooCommerce cart and this hook does not execute then the button will not render, in which case you will need to add the button to a different hook.
