How do i invite people to subscribe to recieve posts from me?

    I have a site. I have my first post. Now i want to invite people through email to click on a link that will take them to my site and ask them if they would like to receive my blog.
    how do i do that with wordpress? I did it easily when playing with blog spot but cannot find it here?
    I want them to subscribe,…get my weekly post, and then also have an unsubscribe button if they want to stop receiving it.
    I also want them to be able to tell a friend or share it with another. How do i do that?
    Sorry lots of questions. i am ready to go but don’t know how to invite and share!

    You can do that only if you have a list of subscribers. Otherwise it would be unsolicited emails (SPAM).

    I currently cannot find a way to build a list of subscribers. Where is the option for me to build the subscriber list? is there an app…or widget to build this list. i want to send out an email to my select email list…with link in it for them to click on which will take them to my site…then they can click on subscribe to begin receiving the weekly posts. This was simply on blogger.

    Try setting up a Feedburner account and looking for a suitable feedburner plugin.

    To build a list of subscriber you first need what’s called an opt-in form, this is where people enter their name and email address. I just did a search on free optin plugin and found this http://www.maxblogpress.com/plugins/mofa/ never used it but that should get you started and understanding better what’s involved,

    You should know that by law you can not send emails to people asking them to signup to your blog, this is considered SPAM, you can only send mass emails to your list which should be made of people who agreed to receive information from you.
