I’m trying to figure out how to group Pods together in the Admin Menu. I’m sure it has to do something with the Pods Admin UI and Parent Menu ID but I just can’t figure it out even after reading the forum comments.

I have four Pods that show in the Admin Menu:

    Course Info
    Course
    Lesson
    Topic

I would like the last three to be grouped in the menu under Course Info as such:

    Course Info
    …Course
    …Lesson
    …Topic

I think it has something to do with Parent Menu ID but I can’t find out where the Menu ID is nor how to use this feature; and I’m missing the description of this in the documentation.

My apologies Norm for not responding sooner. Unfortunately the Help menu is not too clear when you’re wanting to combine a Pods Menu with another one. You’re not actually using the ID, you’re using the ‘link’ to the parent menu. In the case of your Course Info, if you want to make the other menu’s nest under that one, you need to get the link to the ‘Course Info’ Menu, ie edit.php?post_type=course_info (you should see this in the status bar or when you’re actually in the Course Info post-type).

We realize the Menu ‘organization’ needs a serious overhaul; if you ever want to completely control exactly where things go, I tend to recommend the Admin Menu Editor.
