  • Someone told me to go into the database to change comment or id #s if it really bothered me, but how do i do that? i got into the database, but idk how to change the numbers…

  • *I* would not recommend it. There’s little reason to change them other than esthetic reasons. Let it continue to bother you. :)

    Hm, yea, I had kind of wished the ID numbers were always incremental starting at 1. But it doesn’t make sense to rewrite that many database fields everytime you add or delete a post, it’s just needless overhead. You can refer to the posts by plenty of other intuitive means like category, title, etc., so all in all i think you should ask yourself if its really worth the effort for a little more usability in the far back end of your WP

    i’ll let it bother me then. 🙁 i think this is where my minor ocd kicks in 😛

    Yeah, you can really screw stuff up. I’d advise against it.
