I gave up and used a table instead. At least that way I can control the order my images are displayed.
Hi,
Please note that when you add an image, it displays the first image. So, you should select the Order for the gallery Default and Ascending. You can select this from your shortcode options. See the following screenshot.
Thanks!
I appreciate your attempt to help and it could be just a miss communication on my part. When adding images to galleries, the new images ARE added to the top of the image list (within the gallery). My issue was when I tried to DISPLAY the gallery on a “Page” using that same order. I couldn’t get the plugin to keep adding my newest image first when DISPLAYING the gallery on a web page. As a result I was forced to resort to a Table so that I could order them in that way. Now I just need to add a new row at the top of my table as needed and fill it with my images. Not as easy as *if* I could have figured out how to get the same result with the Photo Gallery plug in but it does function as I wanted. Thanks again for trying.
Hi,
Please make sure that you follow the instructions which are made in the following record. As you can see, it works in our side. So, probably, you are missing some point.
Please let me know if it worked for you as well.
Thanks!
Thank you for the video. I see that you selected “Default” and “Ascending” but what information is used for sorting? I played the video several times but never saw you select what is to be sorted (Title?, Description?, something else?) It may be that either I am not sorting based on the right bit of information or maybe it’s not possible to sort the display with the basic version of Photo Gallery. In any case, you’ve “gone above and beyond” to try to help. Thank you
Never mind. I eventually figured out that the default is the order listed within the gallery. I’ll try experimenting on a sample page before I delete my table. Thanks again for your persistent efforts! I’ll let you know if it finally works.
