I'm new to WordPress, If I had known that it requires a Phd in computor secince I would have passed it up.
Is there an easy way to get set up, what is SQL datebase and what does it do in WordPress, is it going to take long to set up. I am a frim beliver in the "Kiss Pricpile," How do I get to the admin page, I want to set up for Photoshelter. Why is there no support except a forum. What do you do if uyou post a question here and nobody has an answer? Any help would be appercated

WordPress is free software and this free, volunteer-staffed forum is the only support resource available via wordpress.org. If that is not suitable for your needs, all I can suggest is that you consider hiring someone or try looking for another support resource outside of wordpress.org.

As to your questions, a MySQL database is just that - a type of database commonly used in web applications. It is needed to store various aspects of your site's content & configuration and is central to running WordPress itself. Have you reviewed New_To_WordPress Where_to_Start?

Many hosts offer 1-click installs of WordPress that circumvent some of the more technical aspects of installation. Have you asked your web hosts if they offer such a service?

@mulunda melvin: Please start by posting your own topic. Your question has nothing to do with the original poster's questions.

    I agree with @esmi,
You should look into your Hosting account Dashboard for some sort of 1-click installation service like Fantastico, Simple Scripts or similar as they offer the easy of installing and give you the links you need to get started right away.
