  • See this tutorial for example:

    That worked but, this is strange: On my MAC using Mozilla, every hyperlink is now underlined and hovers red. On my PC using both Mozilla and IE, it only highlights red, no underline. I’ve upgraded my Mozilla on my PC to match my MAC and cleared browser history.

    It shouldn’t AFAIK, but I’m not ruling out a browser bug.

    First make sure your CSS and HTML validates, also that you do not have any other link CSS code interfering.

    Your CSS should look something like this for example at it’s most basic form:

    a:link, a:visited {
    text-decoration: none;
    color: #4CA6CF;
    a:hover, a:active {
    text-decoration: underline;
    color: #C07C54;

    Some CSS stylesheets use ‘a’ to declare a link style globally in a stylesheet. So for example:

    a {
    color: #4CA6CF;
    text-decoration: underline;

    Sometimes this can give weird results in my experience. You can solve this, but you have to check the code carefully.

    I have a style.css that I think is overriding the default.css.

    /* Default Stylesheet */
    @import url(‘css/default.css’);
    /* User Override Stylesheet */
    @import url(‘user.css’);

    The default.css doesn’t even show up in the admin panel. I had to extract it from the themes folder to manipulate it. The stange that is that it is working from my MAC so, they code must be right.

    Okay, it is working on my PC. It seems to update slower. Now, if I want to ensure my mission statement in my header is not in all caps, do I add font-style: normal; in the .blog-description?

    /* header */
    #header { background: #1e1b1a; border-bottom: 5px solid #383332; height: }
    .logo { max-width: 590px; float: left; font-weight: 700; font-family: ‘Segoe UI’, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-transform: uppercase; }
    .blog-name { font-size: 32px; letter-spacing: 1px; }
    .blog-name a:link, .blog-name a:visited { color: #FFF; text-decoration: none; }
    .blog-description { font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; color: #dedbda; }

    Glad to hear that you got it working.
