Please forgive me if this seems like a basic question, but even the best can overlook basics sometimes… Did you click Save on each widget you added to those footer sidebars? Too many times, I’ve added them, then wondered why they did not show up, when I had forgotten to click Save.
If you did save them, I would try clearing cache for the site. Then refresh and check to see if they appear. If not, clear browser cache, too and history for the last day or so. Refresh and check again.
They only show up if you’re a static page as your front page (and on other pages, not on the blog feed page)
@storyaday – Ah. Thank you. My blog feed page is my home page, so that explains why they aren’t showing up. I had put the logon info and page list in one of the content bottom areas. I guess I’ll need to move them to the sidebar unless I can find a way to modify the feed template in my child theme to include them.
