How do I get carriage returns in comments?

    Right now carriage returns are not showing up in my comments. Users, including myself, can hit ENTER a dozen times between two lines, and those lines will still be smooshed (technical term) together when the coment displays. I’ve tried adding paragraph and line break tags, but those get ignored as well.

    Is there some way to allow returns to be made into paragraph breaks for all comments, please?
