  • I was just wondering: how did you delete plugins and themes without access to wp-admin? Did you do that via FTP?

Here is an article that describes how to reset the password – also via phpmyadmin: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

If that doesn’t help and your hosting support doesn’t know anything either, you can find someone here who might be able to help you: https://jobs.wordpress.net

Yes, I did delete the themes using FTP. Do disable the plugins, I used FTP to rename each one with “.disable” at the end of the name. When I was done I renamed each plug-in back to its original name.

I tried resetting the password, but the problem isn’t the password it is that the user name isn’t recognized. It’s like I don’t exist!

I will try posting the job request on the jobs.wordpress site that you recommended.

    Thank you!

I am looking for professional WordPress help.

I am to the point where I think I am beyond any available free help, and I am willing to pay for a WordPress expert. How do I find a WordPress expert?

I am sorry, but this is not the site for that and I am closing this topic.
