How do I exclude child pages from the navbar?

  • Go to http://www.theindividualist.net and look beneath the masthead image. I have a navbar. I want to do a number of things with it that I can’t figure out.

    1. Sure, I have an “about” page. But can I also have a link back to the blog in the navbar? How would I achieve this? Clicking on the logo of the site isn’t clear enough.

    2. I’d like to have a main page for photos with child pages for each particular gallery. I would like the child pages to show up in the navbar only once I’m in the photo page. How could I achieve this?

For your info, I’m using a heavily modified version of Zen_Minimalist.

Let me know what you come up with!
