How do I exclude certain posts or categories from home page grid?

    I am desperate to restore my home page back to what I had originally. I want only my first two blog posts (category Books) to show up in the grid on the home page. I have added two posts today and now they are in the grid too, but I don’t want them there.

    Please help!Please…

    I use the plugin WP-Hidepost This gives the ability to add posts but hide them in certain places such as the home page. The option is available when you are actually editing the post. Hope this helps!
