PS: I added the ApI I got from Snazzy Maps…still not working. I cant see the map preview on the backend.
Hey @nonamn – Thanks for your posting. Google recently (last week) made a change which requires an API key to access the maps API. Here’s instructions on how to get your own key: https://wordimpress.com/documentation/maps-builder-pro/creating-maps-api-key/
We’re working hard on the plugin to update it so that it’s more clear how to set up the key and get it up and running quickly without confusion (like you experienced)…
Please let me know if you have anymore questions!

So what you’re saying is that the map is not displaying because I did not enter an API? I just want to know, if this is the reason then I’ll make the effort into creating this API (thing,) but I wouldnt like having to spend yet another hour on something and then still have the map not working.
I’m on a deadline and that’s why my time is not limitless. So every hour is of essence.
What I dont understand though is that I alread entered an API (which i received form Snazzy Maps) and the map is still not dispalying. And when I’m using other plugins, their maps are displaying (but the dragable functionis not working properly, so confusing?) even though I did not enter an API for their plugins.
Im just majory confused about everything.
I guess my end question is : if I follow those instructions , will the map work?
Hi @nonamn – I’m saying that is most likely why it’s not working. There are other factors that could conflict with the map displaying such as other Google maps plugins activated, your theme, or an incorrect API key entered. If you follow the instructions the map should work. Otherwise, Google allows you to create semi-customized maps that you can then embed via iframe. That may be a better option if you’re at a loss and don’t need many advanced features: https://support.google.com/mymaps/answer/3024454?hl=en

Hi,
Do you know why the Snazzy Maps API isn’t working? I am using the default WP themes that comes preinstalled and I de-activated all other plugins, yet the backend map builder/map preview is not showing up.
I saw a lot of others are experiencing the same issue, is it all due to the API? I’m just confused as to why it’s not working since I did enter an API which I received from the Snazzy Maps website.

I dont think it’s a matter of plugin/theme conflicts. And since I entered the API (as described in my post 2 days ago) I just cant figure out what’s wrong.
I disabled all other plugins except Maps Builder. Using the default theme Twenty Sixteen. But the problem still remained. Just to clarify, it is the backend that I’m struggling with.
I’d suggest creating an API key according to our docs rather than through Snazzy Maps:
