How do I enable User Type for Editors adding users?

    We have a site where Editors can add users. But when they go to Add User, it doesn’t show the option of User Type.

    There is a Members type user, and we need them to use that, but we also have a blog for ‘subscribers’. If I set Members as the default, anyone going to register to comment on a blog will be able to access other areas.

    So how do I enable it so Editor role can select User Type in Add/Edit user?

    Out of the box, WordPress Editors cannot create users.

    How are you adding this capability to the Editor role? Seems you need to add additional capabilities, perhaps he promote_users capability? See WordPress’ roles and capabilities here:
