I’m trying to figure out how I can display different fics from the taxonomies onto my front page, I want to post recently updated, popular and random.

But I can’t seem to figure out how to do this. Is this something located in the theme itself? (In which case, my theme doesn’t support it) or is some kind of widget plugin the way to do this?

    Or am I way off?

Any information you can provide would help.

OK I’ve been playing around with my theme and I just cant get it to pull anything from custom post types, I’m pretty sure the theme probably doesnt support it, unless I’m missing something

Can anyone recommend any themes that DO support this plugin, I really really want to use it. I just need a front page that can pull from the custom post types to display things like, recently updated fics or most popular fics and so forth.

    any help??

    Hi,
I just installed the plugin and I’m trying to do something like that too. I think (insisting on think) the problem doesn’t come from your theme but from the plugin, as it seems WP doesn’t see the posts from WriteShare as articles you can display on the front page.

Have you find a solution yet? If not, I’ll keep looking and I’ll keep you updated if you’re interested 🙂

Sorry, I’m not aware of a way to do this without custom coding.

I’ve just installed the plugin and about to play around with it. Regarding displaying custom taxonomy, you could try and use one of the category list plugins. Some of them allow you to display custom taxonomies. You can also adjust the look and feel, etc. Hope that helps.
