Support » Fixing WordPress » How do i disable rich editing?

  • I want a ‘what i code is what i get’ not this ‘what i see is what i get’ , everytime i try to use the HTML editor to make the post appear how I want it, wordpress replaces my code with code it thinks is better , or ignores it completely. How do I disable this?

    thanks for the help,

  • Eh, the rich editor is true WYSIWYG. The HTML editor is partially WYSIWYG. There is a plugin to completely disable the auto-paragraph feature, and there’s a plugin to completely disable the auto-entity-conversion feature. But beyond that, the only way is to modify the database. This thread has a couple links: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/109032

ok got it working… i like how CMS handle my archives and allow me to easliy back up everything up. But I do miss the complete control I had with hand coding each post…

looks like this fix worked , thanks

    Any time. :o)
