How do I disable built-in Gallery in Magazine Basic

  • Anyone?
    I should think this would be easy, Is there a place in the theme I can just add comments or remove a file that is taking over my galleries? The built in gallery does not work at all for me.

    Add this to the bottom of functions.php:

    remove_filter( 'post_gallery', 'mb_gallery_shortcode', 10 );

    Hey –

    Thank for that! That does the trick. This is less a question about your theme than in general, but I’m hoping you know the answer off the top of your head).

    Anyway, I am actually using a child theme built from magazine-basic to include customizations for my site. Unfortunately, if I put this in functions.php in the child theme, it doesn’t work because the child.functions.php is loaded before the parent. Is there any way to include this in such a way that it will survive theme upgrades?

    Thanks,
    Joe

    Try changing the number at the end from 10 to something like 99. Let me know if that actually works. 😉
